Groundwater Drilling Programme: Poorly Productive Aquifers

Groundwater Works Programme, EPA initiative to establish poorly productive Aquifer catchments around Ireland. This involved drilling well clusters sealed by tremie pipe injection method under strict supervision to ensure no cross contamination between adjacent wells at varying discrete depths. Each site comprised a sloping transect between a recharge area (high-up in the Catchment) and a discharge area (near streams, lakes etc).
